Are you interested in people, forests and developing SCA’s growing forest assets in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.  We are looking for a Managing Director, based in Tallinn/Riga,  for the Baltic region to develop our sustainable and profitable forestry in the three Baltic countries. SCA is Europe’s largest private forest owner with a total of 2,7 million hectares of forest of which approx. 70,000 hectares are located in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Your next challenge

As Managing Director of SCA’s operations in the Baltics, you will be responsible for managing the company’s extensive forest holding in all three Baltic countries together with a team of 25 people. The role includes overall responsibility and development of the business and its organization as well as financial responsibility. You will also be responsible for continuing the expansion of SCA’s business in the region.

Your team includes managers from SCA’s business areas, and you are a member of business area SCA Forest’s management team. An important part of the assignment is to continue to build and develop the team and create a strong team spirit among the employees to achieve SCA’s ambitious business goals.

Who are you?

You are a confident leader who engages and inspires your team members, and you have the ability to lead and develop your team in a structured way. You have international commercial experience. Knowledge and experience in forestry would be beneficial. You like to collaborate across the organization, at different levels, and you are also genuinely interested in creating business value for SCA and the company's partners. You are curious and want to be involved in developing tomorrow's forestry industry.

You have an academic/forestry education or have acquired equivalent knowledge in another way. You are used to leading through others. In your previous career, you have worked in a similar role and there contributed to the company's development by constantly improving and developing the business as well as your team. Furthermore, you are a strong team player who value, preserve and develop the team's strength. You master both Swedish and English.
