We are strengthening our Forest Audit Team and are seeking new colleagues to work with FSC® and PEFC™. Primarily we are looking for a Lead Auditor to combine both audits and product management services with team support and market development.

You will support our forestry customers with your professional expertise and Intertek’s processes, methods, and tools. As Lead Auditor, you will perform audits, verifications, and inspections for our clients in Sweden and Norway. influencing the development of the industry through challenging performance and sharing of knowledge. You will also support the Forestry Team with technical questions and take part in Intertek’s journey to strengthen our market share in Sweden and Norway.

This position will allow you to work with a varied customer portfolio, both in terms of size and organizational setup. You will work autonomously and in a customer-oriented way but will always enjoy the benefits of a strong and supportive professional environment of colleagues.

You will get to know the Nordic forestry sector and related further processing industry well and develop a large and unique network.

Apart from required training and qualification, we have performance management processes in place to ensure you will have the opportunity to develop yourself.

About the role

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Perform audits for FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody and Forest Management.
  • Work with our Program Manager to develop the Forest Assurance business further.
  • Support new and existing customers with questions related to the specific forest segment and relevant standards.
  • Support to the Forest Team and our Sales Team.

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum tertiary education from College or University in a relevant discipline (forestry, biology, ecology, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years  of professional experience (forest management, consultancy, research, supervision, etc.) in a relevant discipline (forestry, ecology, biology, anthropology, etc.)
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English.
  • Driving License.
  • Ability to travel extensively within Sweden and Norway.

Desired requirements:

  • Qualification as a Lead Auditor for FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody and Forest Management.
  • Practical experience from the forestry industry or related businesses such as further processing.
  • Practical experience/knowledge of ISO 9001/14001.
  • Audit experience.
