Wood Supply is a division within BillerudKorsnäs with the main task of supplying the production facilities with pulpwood, wood chips and fuel. BillerudKorsnäs is Sweden's largest consumer of fiber raw materials with an extensive experience of working with sustainable forestry. We are now looking for our new Head of Wood Supply Chain.
About the position
As our Head of Wood Supply Chain, you will hold a central role in our Wood Supply organization with the overall, end-to-end responsibility for long- and short-term planning and operational management of fibre flows from our suppliers to our internal operations and external clients. Your mission is to build a safe and secure supply of fibre to our operations securing stable conditions for production and ensuring that stock levels are balanced in the chain, and possible volume deviations are managed efficiently and with least cost.
Efficient and timely communication along the value chain is key to success in your role, and you master in building strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers. You are responsible for building a well-functioning S&OP process and run this end-to-end process in Wood Supply.
The transport of our raw materials takes place by truck, boat and train and in the logistics chain there are ports, terminals, and storage areas that can be used to buffer deviations that may occur in the flow chain. In your role, you are responsible for optimizing the logistics chain and run the logistics sourcing and contracting with our suppliers to ensure green logistics solution, reliable deliveries and best possible logistics costs.
This is a newly established role in Wood Supply with the mission to secure stable, sustainable supply of fibre with optimized cost and stocks and high quality. To help you, you will have a strong team of seven team members. You will have a fantastic chance to build and lead a successful team of supply chain professionals, and rethink and work on our wood supply chain set-up, including development of communication, interfaces, sustainability, work environment, routines and working methods.

The position entails a full-time permanent position. You report directly to Vice President Wood Supply.

The most important thing for the role is your knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, transportation, planning, and your experience with S&OP. You know what good looks like in sourcing and supply chain and we believe you have the experience of building a world class supply chain set-up.
You have acquired this knowledge through relevant higher education along with a few years of experience. Alternatively, you have acquired equivalent skills in other ways that we are very interested in finding out more about.
Good English language skills are a requirement, other language skills are a benefit.
